Its back to League action in Week 7 of the Tribute Cornwall / Devon League

It’s VP day this weekend which is sponsored by: Site Cleaning Services SW Ltd.

This week we entertain Wessex RFC, who despite lying bottom of the table will come to Horsham Fields offering a stern test. The only result they have managed to pick up this season so far is a draw against Penryn.

Oaks know that this match will not be a push over, and we have to be at our best to ensure we execute our game play to convert into points.

The 2nd XV do not have a match this weekend, however our vets are at home on sat with a 12pm K.O against Old Techs 2nd Team in which promises to be a good match for the guys to have a run out in.

Last week both the 1st & 2nd team came out victorious in the Devon intermediate Shield & Ellis cup. 1st team winning: 29-14 and the 2nd team winning: 42-30 , the 1st have been drawn away against Withycombe in the semi-final to be played on the 18th November. Whereas the 2nd team face Devonport High School Old Boys in the QF of the Ellis Cup on the 3rd February.

The 1st last week played arguably the best rugby this season digging out a result against an Argaum side which have improved since the start of the season. Despite going down to 14 men 5 minutes after half time, Oaks managed to step it up with our systems. Probably the best comment was from Argaum who praised us on how organised in both defence and attack we were.

Here is the team Vs. Wessex K.O 3pm.
